Staff Bios

Faculty & Staff:

 

  • Ms. Lee, Founder, Head of School, Head Teacher received her M.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from New York University (New York, NY), specializing in Early Childhood Montessori Education, and a BFA in Oil Painting from University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS). Ms. Lee has more than thirteen years of combined experience as an educator in both Montessori and private school settings. She is also certified to teach Fine Arts and students with disabilities. She plays the flute and piano. She is also a regular swimmer and tennis player.  Ms. Lee also has a son who completed five years of Montessori education, has excelled academically each year in school and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

 

  • Mr. de Charleroy, Administrative Directorreceived his M. A. in history from Rutgers University and has taught students in all grades from elementary to high school.  He served as an administrator of a small private school before joining the staff at Cornerstone.  He is experienced in the field of public history and gifted education, focusing on the methods of Dr. Joseph Renzulli.  Mr. de Charleroy is an advocate of healthy living, outdoorsmanship, and cellular nutrition.  He also is an accomplished amateur pianist and artist.

 

  • Ms. Carol, Teacher’s Assistant, has 5 years working experience with preschool and elementary students in a Christian school in Chesterfield. She also was a fulltime caretaker for a child with autism for 4 years. She also has an experience teaching young children about animals and cooking.  She loves  gardening, cooking, sewing, crochet, and taking care of animals.
